Setting Goals for Your Virtual Assistant Business in 2021 Part 3

Setting goals for your virtual assistant business in 2021 is all about opportunity.
In part 1, we let you know what the biggest opportunity VAs have. In part 2, we shared why it is the biggest opportunity.
In part 3, we are going to be discussing the ripple effect and why it’s so important to achieving your virtual assistant business goals.
First, let’s define the ripple effect.
The Ripple Effect is based on the understanding that we are all connected. Thoughts and actions are like stones dropped in a pond and they create ripples that travel outward.
Everything we do and think affects the people in our lives and their reactions, in turn, affect others. The choices you make have far-reaching consequences. Each of us carries within us the capacity to change the world for better or worse.
“Everything you do has some effect, some impact.” – Dalai Lama
The world is a big place, but you can create positive effects that ripple throughout the world. You can see a problem as closed in and confined or you can choose to see the opportunity to have an audience looking for you.
You have the special power to create a ripple effect. A lasting impact that will reach the world. This will be directly tied to what you want to educate your audience on. Notice I said “audience”, not clients because you’ll also be impacting the next generation of VAs.
When you share your message, your voice, your thoughts, and ideas with others you are throwing pebbles into the water which are creating ripples far beyond what you can comprehend. As you continue to share the size of your pebbles gets larger. Soon you’ll be skipping stones and rolling boulders into lakes and oceans which in turn, will create waves that will wash up on far away shores.
This is important for you to know as a VA because we often believe our work is completed and accomplished in the immediate time. Once it’s crossed off your to-do list it doesn’t stop working for you. It’s just getting started.
Another reason it’s important for you to understand and capitalize on your ripple effect power is that VAs often believe that their current work is the only thing still working for them. That’s not true. Everything you do, perfected or not, has brought you to the place you are now. It will continue to do so throughout your career as long as you keep dropping stones that have a chance to keep your ripple effect going.
When you are setting goals for your virtual assistant business in 2021, remember who is waiting to feel their effects.
